AB 341 and 1826- Mandatory Recycling for Commercial Businesses
Beginning January 1, 2019 (AB 1826), a recently passed California regulation mandates organic recycling for all businesses in California producing 4 cubic yards or more of trash per week.

The commercial sector generates nearly 75% of California's waste. Organic material (food and yard scraps) make up about 34% of California's landfills annually.

Recycling helps conserve resources and extends the life of California's landfills. It also helps create a healthy environment for our community and future generations.

If your business is producing 4 cubic yards or more of trash and recycling or organics recycling services are not currently being provided or if you already receive recycling services, but would like to learn more about enhanced recycling programs in your area, please call GreenWaste Customer Service at 877.217.4970.

If you would like additional information on the regulation, whether it applies to you or how businesses in your area may be affected, please see the links: http://www.calrecycle.ca.gov/Business/Regulated.htm
