Richard Cristina, President
Mr. Cristina has over 30 years of experience in the solid waste industry. In the early 1970s, Mr. Cristina was a co-founder of the first transfer and recycling center in Santa Clara Valley and a partner in both San Jose Disposal, Inc., and the Foothill Sanitation Company, which provided garbage collection and recycling to Scotts Valley residents. In 1985, Mr. Cristina co-founded the Zanker Road Landfill. Through vision, innovation, and astute management, Mr. Cristina and his Zanker partners increased the landfill’s recycling rate from 50% to 95%. In 1991, Mr. Cristina co-founded GreenWaste Recovery, Inc. and began providing yard waste collection services to over 110,000 San Jose residents. Building upon his earlier successes, Mr. Cristina co-founded GreenTeam of San Jose in 1992 to provide solid waste collection and recycling to an additional 80,000 San Jose households. Mr. Cristina is a lifelong San Jose resident and is widely recognized as a community leader. A member of the Board of Directors of Zanker Road Resource Management, Ltd. and GreenWaste Recovery, Inc., Mr. Cristina has previously served on the Boards of The Friends of the Guadalupe River Park, The San Jose Sports Authority, The San Jose Repertory Theatre, The San Jose Homeless Shelter Foundation, and Bellarmine Alumni Council, and was the first Chairperson of the San Jose Arena Authority.
Murray Hall, Vice President
During his 20 plus years in the solid waste industry, Mr. Hall co-founded Zanker Road Landfill in 1985, GreenWaste Recovery, Inc. in 1991, and GreenTeam of San Jose in 1992. Mr. Hall is responsible for all of GreenWaste and Zanker's financial operations and reporting. His strong financial background results from his work as a Certified Public Accountant and Controller with the International Public Accounting firm of Ernst & Young and as Vice President of Finance for several large San Jose Firms. Mr. Hall serves on the Board of Directors of Zanker Road Resource Management, Ltd. and GreenWaste Recovery, Inc.
Frank Weigel, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Weigel has been with GreenWaste Recovery, Inc. and in the solid waste industry his entire career. He has performed various duties from driving solid waste, recyclables and yard waste collection vehicles, to managing all of the company’s operations. Mr. Weigel is responsible for the Company’s City of San Jose Yard Waste and Residential Street Sweeping Program, Charles Street Materials Recovery Facility /Transfer Station and franchise contracts for the Towns of Woodside, Portola Valley, and Los Altos Hills, the Counties of Santa Clara (Lexington Hills) and Santa Cruz, and the City of Petaluma.
Don Dean, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Dean joined the GreenWaste team in 1999 after ten years in the transportation industry, ten years in product distribution and ten years in manufacturing. His varied career includes working as a Certified Public Accountant in Washington State with the International Public Accounting Firm of Deloitte and Touche, and six years as Laidlaw Transit's Northern California District Director of Operations where he was responsible for managing the operations of more than 1,000 school, Para transit, and public transit buses.
Colin Beall, Operations Manager
Mr. Beall has been in the solid waste industry since 1984, beginning his career as the manager of the Jamestown Landfill. His responsibilities included landfill operations, equipment maintenance, management of two transfer stations, he was also the liaison to City departments. Mr. Beall became operations manager for the Zanker Road Landfill in 1990. His duties included managing and maintaining quality control over all materials, equipment, shipping and marketing. He left Zanker in July 1991 to become operations manager for GreenWaste Recovery. He manages and develops all driver and equipment, all safety reporting and training, and has been instrumental in developing GreenWaste’s routing, mapping and route auditing procedures. Mr. Beall is responsible for collection efficiency and the delivery of high-quality service to the residents GreenWaste serves.
Valerie Enyart, Office/Customer Service Manager
Ms. Enyart has been with GreenWaste Recovery, Inc. since 1997 and has developed customer service standards that are unmatched in the industry. With experience in general and customer service management, Ms. Enyart’s level of professionalism and expertise enhances the Company’s ability to effectively communicate with all of its customers. In addition to being GreenWaste’s primary liaison to its government partners, she is responsible for ensuring that all GreenWaste customers understand and are comfortable with their services and that they receive prompt and courteous responses to their billing and service inquiries.
Tracy Adams, Controller
Mr. Adams has been with GreenWaste for the past two years. Prior to joining GreenWaste, Mr. Adams spent ten years in the hospitality industry for a variety of hotel chains, including Sheraton, Gaylord and the Ritz Carlton. Mr. Adams’ experience has been in the customer service side of the industry, controlling the revenues for the rooms divisions in these chains. Tracy graduated in 1995 from Northwestern University.
