Extra Materials

Collection of extra materials and/or special items may require permission from the property manager. Extra materials or special items approved for set-out must be placed out in accordance with these set-out instructions:

  • Extra recyclable materials may be set-out in clear plastic bags and cardboard in tied and secure bundles (no larger than 3’ x  3’) next to your recyclable materials container(s).
  • Extra garbage may only be set out for collection with approval from the property manager.

Important Note: If containers are overfilled or garbage placed out for collection beyond the capacity of the container, collection may occur and the complex manager will incur additional charges that may be passed on to individual households.

Extra Services

Household Batteries: Please place your household batteries in a clear Ziploc-type bag and set the bag on top (not inside) of your recyclable materials cart. Batteries accepted curbside include most common household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 6-volt, 9-volt, camera batteries, nickel cadmium and lithium ion). Please tape the top of 9-volt rectangular batteries and 6 volt square-base batteries with spring terminals. Button-cell coin-shaped batteries are NOT accepted.

Bulky-item Collection: Your complex may be eligible to participate in a complex-wide bulky item reuse collection event, please contact your property manager for additional information. For an additional charge, GreenWaste can collect bulky items. To schedule your bulky item collection, please contact Customer Service.

e-Waste Collection: Many small eWaste items are accepted in the recyclable materials container. For items that do not fit inside your container and/or for televisions, computer monitors and computers that may contain lead and/or mercury, a different collection vehicle must be used. To schedule collection, please contact Customer Service.
